Lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) is the hero herb of Golden Myrtle. Native to Australia and often referred to as the “Queen of the Lemon Herbs”, lemon myrtle is renowned for its exceptionally high citral content, the aromatic compound responsible for its intensely clean, fresh lemon flavour. It gives the blend its vibrant citrus character and a distinctly Australian touch.

Calendula contributes delicate floral notes and golden petals, adding both softness and beautiful colour to the loose leaf blend. Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support digestive comfort and soothe the gastrointestinal tract.

Nettle is traditionally regarded as a nourishing herb and naturally contains a range of minerals and plant compounds. It adds a soft green, herbaceous character while bringing another layer of depth to the blend.

Licorice root provides a subtle natural sweetness, smoothing the sharper citrus notes and giving the infusion a more rounded finish.

Gotu kola  has a long history of traditional use for supporting mental clarity, memory and concentration, while also being valued for its calming qualities. Its earthy, herbaceous character adds complexity to the blend.
